The Veep title sequence introduces every episode and usually provides a brief summary of the events leading up to each particular season in the style of news headlines. It has appeared in every episode of the series so far, with the exception of Kissing Your Sister.

Opening of seasons one, two, and three.

The intro for seasons one and two cover Selina running in the 2012 election ("Senator's White House run," "Meyer aims higher", "Is this Meyer's moment?"), considered a serious contender for the party nomination ("Meyer looking for nomination", "Might it be 'President Meyer'?") but ultimately breaking down ("Selina's un-super Tuesday", "Selina suspends campaign", "Senator Crashes Out") and becoming Vice President ("Meyer's Meltdown", "Selina 'Proud' To be Veep", "Nightmeyer", "Selina Meyer: The New No. 2").

The intro for the third season contains the exact same headlines, but an altered theme song from the first two seasons.

Season 4[]

Season four opening.

The intro for the fourth season features different headlines, starting at Selina becoming President ("Hughes Resigns: World Reacts", "First Woman President"), and then focuses on the primary race ("Meyer Polls Higher", "Nomination Race Intensifies"), and then her popularity falls ("Meyer numbers hit new low", "Meyer Loses Another Primary"), and ends with many questioning whether or not she'll win the nomination ("Meyer: 'I will survive'", "The 8-Month President?").

The fourth season intro features another revamped title theme.

Season 5[]

Season five opening.

The intro for the fifth season begins with Selina becoming VP ("Senator's White House run", "Selina 'Proud' to be Veep", "Magic Meyer"), Hughes resigning and Selina looking for a running mate at the Convention ("Hughes Resigns: World Reacts", "Doyle Exits Ticket: Meyer Campaign in Crisis"), Selina choosing Tom James for VP ("Meyer's new running mate: Sen Tom James", "Selina's secret weapon: Senator Tom James"), and the election ending in a tie ("O'Brien/Meyer refuse to concede", "Too close to call: Election ends in historic deadlock", "Congress scrambles as tie forced House to select President").

The fifth season uses the same theme as season four.

Season 6[]

The sixth season abandons the news headlines format, replacing it with red, white, and blue graphics that display the title "VEEP", and drastically shortens the theme music.
