Season 3 Edit
In Fishing, it is revealed that Thornhill will challenge Selina Meyer for the party nomination, along with Danny Chung, George Maddox, and Owen Pierce. He is able to get infamous campaign manager Bill Ericsson to run his campaign, with Ericsson saying he thinks he [Thornhill] can win. He appears again at the party debate, as news comes out that he cheated on his wife. He publicly apologizes during the debate and asks for the countries forgiveness. He wins the debate, with 30% saying he did the best job.
The primaries narrow down to just Thornhill, Meyer, and Chung. Thornhill goes on to win the Iowa Caucus in January 2016. He comes in second in the New Hampshire primary.
Season 4 Edit
Thornhill is mentioned in Joint Session, with Ericsson thinking of jumping ship to the Meyer team, saying Thornhill is incompetent and isn't going to be dropping out of the race soon. Selina goes on to win the party nomination.
