The 2014 United States midterm elections were held on November 4, 2014, in the middle of Stuart Hughes' first term as President of the United States. Elections were held for all 435 seats of the House of Representatives, representing the 50 states. Elections were also held for Senators elected in 2008.

The opposition party gained an overwhelming control of the House while the main party maintained control of the Senate. The winners of this election served in the 114th United States Congress.

Background[]

In 2012, Stuart Hughes and running mate Selina Meyer won the election and became President and Vice President, respectively.

Overview[]

Vice President Selina Meyer campaigned for various candidates across the country, visiting states such as Ohio, Minnesota, Florida, Utah, and North Dakota. Meyer ended up with a 0.9% lead over Hughes in terms of campaigning. However, her campaigning seemed to do little difference, as the opposition party took an overwhelming control of the House.
